This is a special recipe that comes from our boss's cousin Lorissa, it's a moist cake with a rich citrusy flavor that's perfect served cold as a Summer dessert. It's a family favorite and one you'll be sure to enjoy!
What you'll need:
- 3 large eggs
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1/4 cup of orange juice
- 1 1/4 Milk
- 1 1/2 Bari Traditional olive oil
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Zest of 1 orange
Mix all of the ingredients above together on low speed in a stand mixer until well-combined.
- 2 cups of flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
Slowly incorporate your dry ingredients, mix on slow until combined. Don't overbeat the mixture or you'll get a tough cake rather than a soft cake.
You will need a 10 inch round greased cake pan, pour in your mixture, should be a watery smooth consistency. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes to 1 hour.
Serve with powdered sugar over the top, lime zest, homemade whipped cream, and fresh berries!
