What you'll need:

  • 2 cups mini pretzels
  • 1 cup Chex cereal
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, peanuts, cashews, pecans, or your favorite combo)
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds (optional, for crunch)
  • 1/4 cup BARI Arbosana extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for a little heat)
  • Salt and freshly fine ground black pepper, to taste

Complete Recipe:

  1. Preheat the oven: Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

  2. Prepare the mix: In a large bowl, combine the pretzels, mixed nuts, and sunflower seeds (if using).

  3. Prepare the drizzle: In another bowl whisk together the BARI olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne (if using), salt & black pepper.
  4. Season with olive oil: Drizzle the BARI olive oil mix over the pretzel-nut mix. Toss everything together until evenly coated.

  5. Bake: Spread the mix out in an even layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 12–15 minutes, stirring once or twice during baking to ensure even crispiness and golden color.

  6. Cool and serve: Once the mix is golden and crunchy, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, adding a pinch of salt or pepper if you like.

  7. Store: Let the snack mix cool completely before storing in an airtight container for up to a week.
