Blistered Shishito Peppers

Shishito peppers are increasingly popular in dinner circles. You can find them in almost all grocery stores or in your favorite farmers market. They are normally a mild pepper, but a shishito pepper can surprise you with a little extra heat. Also, these delicious appetizers are high in vitamin C; providing antioxidants. Do you you need a little more spice in your life? Mix in a little Harissa sauce to spice it up! This make for a inexpensive, healthy, quick and delightful appetizer.

Blistered Shishito Peppers
Ingredients:
- 1 bag of shishito peppers
- Bari’s Lemon infused Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp. Harissa Sause (if not available at your store you can use Sriracha Sause)
- 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper
Instructions:

Step 1:
- Wash the peppers
- Remove any extra dirt
- Pat dry and set aside
Step 2:
- Heat up a large iron skillet on high, then lower to medium high (we want the skillet very hot)
- Add 1 table spoon of Olive Oil
- Add the Shishito peppers
- Cook for about 15 minutes or until the peppers are blistered turning frequently and start to char
- Add salt & pepper
- Mix in Harissa Sause with the peppers
Step 3:
- Remove peppers
- Place on a serving platter
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice
